Bolingbrook, IL – October 7th, 2014. It has recently come to our attention that Hamza Khan, a resident of Bolingbrook, has been arrested on charges for allegedly attempting to provide material support to a designated terrorist organization.
There has been some speculation in the media, including reports from neighbors, that Mr. Hamza Khan was a student at Furqaan Academy. These reports are false. Mr. Khan is not currently nor has he ever been enrolled in any programs at our Academy. Due to the falsity of these reports we respectfully request that the media refrain from further contacting our organization, its staff, parents and students.
Al-Furqaan Foundation and Furqaan Academy are committed to providing a quality religion based education, which includes instruction on the tenets of Islam. It is our profound hope that by providing this education, not only will we raise our children to be devout in our faith but also to be responsible and productive citizens of this great country. In these troubled times, we believe that teaching our children the true tenets of Islam is one of the best methods for protecting them from falling prey to the kind of extremism that distorts our faith.

Al Furqaan Foundation has placed the English translation of the Quran in over 40 hotels across the nations. While this is a major feat it is only a drop in the ocean. We will not be satisfied until all the hotels which carry bibles also carry Qurans.Unfortunately we are limited in regards to the hotels which we can cover in person.
However, you can help!
1) If you are a hotel owner we are asking you to allow us to place English translations of the Quran in all the rooms of your fine establishment as a free service. The Qur’an is a gift to humanity from Allah (SWT).
Unfortunately, all of humanity is not even aware of the gift or believes the gift is for Muslims only. By giving thousands of people the opportunity readthe words of Allah (SWT) you may be securing your spot in Jannah. Remember, we are not asking you to force others to read the Quran. We are merely requesting they be given a chance to read the most beautiful words ever composed.
2) If you know a hotel owner we are asking you to talk to him/her abouthaving the Quran placed in his/her hotel as a free read for all guest. Let them know it will not cost them a dime and they are not forcing anybody to read the English translation of the Quran. Do your best to encourage them to make dawah an integral part of their personal and business life. Remember with Allah there is enough reward to go around. There will be hasanat for you, us, and them.
Brothers and sisters there is so much to be done. We have to work together to increase dawah efforts across the nation. By joining the Quran Project you are placing yourself in the front lines of dawah. There is no telling how many people will read a single translation in one room. This project has the potential to touch thousands across the nation insuch a subtle yet effect manner.
The power of the Quran cannot be imagined or contained. The person reading it is forced to think and contemplate about creation, stereotypes, his/her purpose, God and so much more. The Quran Project is unique in nature and scope. It is the General of dawah in North America. No other project has shown the potential to touch so many people in the long and short term,
The prophet (S) said: “The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it to others.”
Please continue to support the Quran Project bydonating, informing others, purchasing from Furqaan Bookstore, and allow us to visit your local masjid.
The Quran project hits Chicago with full force.
This summer Al-Furqaan Foundation will be delivering free English translations of the Quran in the 60619 zip code. This is no insignificant task and small dawa project. On the contrary this is an enormous task which will take plenty of hard work, dedication, sacrifice and help from Allah (SWT).
As of date over 4,500 non-Muslims have already received the Quran in that zip code. However, this is only a dip in the ocean. Before the job is complete Al-Furqaan Foundation will have to distribute an additional 12,000 Qurans at bare minimum.
There are over 20,000 houses and apartments in the 60619 zip code and our goal is to make sure each house receives nur (light) from the Nobel Word of Allah (SWT).
The response from the community has been positive overall. According to Bro.Qasim, who supervises the distribution, some people request extra copies for family members, others ask questions about the Quran, and a small minority inquire about visiting a masjid. One special lady has even called to give us
a donation because she and her husband were exceptionally pleased with the Quran as a gift.
Out of the 4,500 people who have received the free Quran less than five people have completely rejected it or asked for it to be picked up from their house.
Inshaa Allah, Al-Furqaan Foundation will complete the entire 60619 zip code before Ramadan. Yet, the mission of the Quran Project will not be complete. Therefore, when one zip code ends another will begin.
Plans are already underway for the next zip code. Between now and the blessed month of Ramadan we plan to distribute about 17,000 Qurans door-to-door and place the Quran in at least 2 new hotels. Support from you is needed to keep this unique and gigantic da’wa project alive. Do not miss out on the opportunity to guide people to Islam. With as little as $20 we can deliver 10 Qurans on your behalf. Image the possible
results you may see in the grave.
May Allah give you and us success.

This year on 9/11 a church in Florida wants to have an international burn a Quran day –naudhubillah. We at Al-Furqaan Foundation have launched a nationwide campaign and pledged to distribute 50 copies for every copy they burn and have called on all people of conscience globally – Muslims and Non-Muslims to support this. We are calling on you to support us generously this Ramadhan, the month of Qur’an, not only through your donations, but also by ordering copies yourself (orderaquran.org) or sending to people (sendaquran.org) and distributing them on that day as widely as possible to your friends, colleagues, and neighbors. Let us work to collectively extinguish darkness with light. Let us react not with emotion over this act but use hikmah (wisdom) and in a most positive way enjoin what is right. Join with us and let us take a positive stance towards this most abominable act so that we educate the people around us about the Qur’an. They plan, but Allah is the best of planners and Insha’Allah together we will deliver the message of the Qur’an to everyone in America.
Addison, IL — 1st of Rabi I, 1428 — Al-Furqaan Foundation launches its door-to-door Qur’an delivery campaign to a complete zip code in Naperville, IL. In the next few days about 15,300 copies with a letter in a plastic bag will be hung on each door in the zip code. This is the 1st in a series of distributions to take place across the country as each household in America receives a free English copy.
“This is a historic step for US based Muslims, as we work to bridge the gapin understanding of Islam with our non-Muslim neighbors. Our effort is meant to clarify any prejudices and misconceptions one might have about Islam from the source of inspiration for over a billion Muslims around the world,” said Wajahat Sayeed, Founder and President of Al-Furqaan Foundation.
Al-Furqaan Foundation, having launched its Hotel room distribution a while ago, is now also incorporating the household distribution under its belt, with other efforts under way to place copies of the Qur’an in hospitals and other residential facilities such as retirement homes, nursing homes, etc.
“With these efforts, we look forward to a national dialogue about Islam. Dialogue will help for a better understanding and understanding will lead to trust,” said Omar Baloch, Al-Furqaan Foundation staff.
Al-Furqaan Foundation is a non-profit dawah organization based in Chicago. Al-Furqaan Foundation publishes and prints Islamic material. Its objective is to deliver a copy of the translation of the Qur’an to every household, hotel and hospital room, college dorm, and retirement home in America.
The English only copy (no Arabic) is a modern English translation that has been translated and printed in the US and has been approved by the highest Islamic authorities such as the Al-Azhar University in Egypt. For questions, comments, or concerns please go to our websites www.al-furqaan.org
Lombard, IL — 1st of Ramadhan, 1424 – Al-Furqaan Foundation launches its operations on the auspicious occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadhan, “…in which was sent down the Qur’an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (between right and wrong) – 2:185.
Al-Furqaan derives inspiration from many references in the Qur’an and Sunnah about the duty of every Muslim to deliver the message to all mankind. Acting upon the Qur’anic injunction “Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong…” – 3:104, the Foundation, with donations from Muslims, will serve as a conduit within an organizational framework to deliver a FREE copy of the Qur’an to every household, every hotel room, and other group residential facilities such as retirement homes, college dormitories, etc. in the United States.
“Muslims have to wake up and realize that the Day of Judgment is a win or lose proposition. And on that day when every Non-Muslim will attempt to put the blame on every Muslim friend, neighbor, colleague, etc. and say that we had the message but we did not deliver it to them, then on that day we will lose!” said Wajahat Sayeed, President and one of the founding members of Al-Furqaan. “Ask
yourself these questions: How many non-Muslim neighbors do you have? How many have you attempted to give a copy of the Qur’an to? Why have you not? People have expressed a variety of reasons, including fear, intimidation, rejection, etc.”
Al-Furqaan has taken that fear, intimidation and other reasons, out of the delivery process to provide a mechanism to fulfill every Muslim’s obligation. Al-Furqaan’s goal is for every $2.00 received in donations from a Muslim, a Qur’an will be sent out to a non-Muslim – a phenomenal value achieved by streamlining the delivery and logistics infrastructure. Within the $2.00 we are
able to not only publish a translation that is aesthetically appealing (quality of cover, paper, print, etc.), but handle the mailing of each copy and run our operations. At this price most people can’t even buy a copy of Yusuf Ali’s English translation!!
“If people donate only $100 a month, then we will deliver 50 Qur’ans, InshaAllah. That $100/month translates to 600 Qur’ans in a year, from one person alone!!! Imagine what we could do if each person reading this release decided to commit a $100/month and then agreed to raise funds just for their Zip Code either by themselves or through their mosque or local organization. Can’t do it in a month, do it in a few months, or a year – the point is, if we take an active role in making it happen and we do it consistently throughout our lives, InshaAllah, today it is the US, tomorrow it could be the whole world”, says Sayeed with deep conviction and enthusiasm.
“We hope and pray to Allah (SWT) that the Muslim Ummah realizes this obligation and help themselves by generously donating to distribute copies of the final guidance to mankind – the Criterion with which people will be judged on the day of Judgment – to every corner of the United States”.
Al-Furqaan Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization in the US and is in the process of getting its 501(c)(3). It has been organized for the sole purpose of doing Dawah through the Holy Qur’an.
